McDonald’s, one of the world’s largest fast-food chains, has recently opened two new locations to serve customers on their journey to the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi. The first McDonald’s restaurant is situated at New Track-Tarakote Marg, which is one of the main entry points for devotees heading towards the Vaishno Devi shrine. The second location is at Ardhkuwari, Jammu, which is another prominent stop for pilgrims en route to the holy shrine.
McDonald’s has taken into account the region’s religious beliefs and the impact they have on food habits while designing their menu. Both McDonald’s locations offer a 100 per cent vegetarian menu that is free from onions and garlic. This decision has been made to ensure that customers with strict dietary restrictions can also enjoy McDonald’s food without any concerns.
Rajeev Ranjan, Managing Director of McDonald’s India – North and East, said, “We are excited to launch our restaurants in Tarakote Marg and Ardhkuwari, on the way to the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi. Our presence here is a step towards making the world-famous McDonald’s great tasting food and beverages accessible to travellers and residents of the area.”

To make the ordering process more convenient for customers, both McDonald’s locations are equipped with self-ordering digital kiosks. Customers can place their orders quickly and efficiently without having to wait in long queues. Additionally, the restaurants offer two types of services- take-away and dine-in at New Track-Tarakote Marg and take-away only at Ardhkuwari.
The introduction of McDonald’s at these locations provides a refreshing and convenient option for devotees embarking on their pilgrimage journey to Vaishno Devi.
