McDonald’s India and Simpl partner to introduce 1-tap payment facility for seamless online ordering

In a recent announcement, Simpl and McDonald’s India have officially partnered to enhance the online checkout experience for customers in the West and South regions. A press release stated that the primary objective of this collaboration is to provide users with a smooth and streamlined process while using the McDelivery platforms.

Through the collaboration, customers can enjoy the convenience of Simpl’s 1-tap payment technology, enabling them to place orders effortlessly. McDonald’s India, known for its widespread presence, operates 357 restaurants across 56 cities in the West and South regions of the country. As part of its expansion strategy, McDonald’s aims to open 40-45 new outlets in the financial year 2023-24 (FY24). In line with its growth plans, the company intends to establish a total of 580-630 restaurants in India, as mentioned in the press release.

This development comes as a response to the increasing trend of customers placing online orders at McDonald’s. The McDonald’s App and McDelivery App have collectively garnered over 24 million downloads, with millions of registered customers in the South and West regions. The surge in online ordering activity has prompted McDonald’s to prioritize enhancing the digital experience for its valued customers in these areas.
